Terms of sale

The seller is Alpacas Allin Maki S.A.C., trading as Allin Maki, registered in Peru under RUC 20603737585 and working from Lima and Juliaca. We sell wholesale to shops, distributors and brands that buy to resell, never to consumers. By sending an order you confirm that you buy for your business.

• Minimum order. $500 an order, mixed freely across every collection, colour and size.
• Prices. Quoted per piece in US dollars, on an ex works Lima basis, in three tiers: below 100 pieces, 100 and over, and 500 and over. Each colourway needs at least five pieces in the first tier and ten from 100 pieces on. The price list on the site is a guide; the price that counts is the one in your quotation.
• Private label. Your own hangtag in place of ours, from 500 alpacas in one order, for $0.20 a piece plus the cost of the printwork. Only alpacas count towards the 500; rugs, teddy bears and keychains do not. Cartons in your own marks are quoted per order.

Orders delivered within Peru include 18% IGV on the products and the private label fee. An order that leaves Peru has no IGV. Shipping is never taxed here.

Send us the order form, or write to us, and a quotation comes back within 24 hours. It gives the price for your exact mix, the shipping, the carton plan and the ready date. A quotation holds for seven days from the day you placed the order.

Sending an order commits you to nothing. Once you accept the quotation and we confirm it with a proforma invoice, it binds both of us on these terms.

• The first 50% is due when you confirm the order. It starts production: from that day the price is fixed, the fur for your colours is bought and set aside, and your week on the line is reserved.
• The second 50% is due once the order is finished and you have been able to inspect it, before it leaves the workshop.

Both amounts are in US dollars, and the bank details are on the proforma invoice. A total in euros on the order form is an indication at the day's rate and nothing more.

Production takes four to six weeks for an order of under 100 pieces and six to eight weeks from 100, and from 500 pieces we agree the time with you. The ready date in your quotation is the one we work to, and a written update reaches you halfway through.

Every piece is checked against the approved order before packing. You are welcome to inspect the order yourself at the workshop, or to send an inspection agency.

Each alpaca is handmade from real alpaca fur, and fur changes from one animal and one season to the next. Pieces in the same colourway and size can therefore differ slightly in shade, pile and size, and no two are exactly alike. That is the nature of the material and not a fault. Which shades a production cycle gives is on the colour card.

The alpacas are made to the first three parts of the European toy standard EN 71 and to ASTM F963-23, with a Children's Product Certificate for CPSIA. The test report for your market comes with the quotation, and the full laboratory reports are available on request. See compliance for every code and scope.

We prepare the commercial invoice, the packing list, the carton marks and weights, the certificate of origin and the classification under HS code 9503.00.

• Door to door (DAP). We book the transport and ship the order to the address you give us, with the shipping cost in the quotation. Import duties, VAT and customs clearance in your country are yours to pay, unless the quotation says otherwise.
• Ex works Lima (EXW). On a larger order your own forwarder can collect at the workshop and take care of freight and clearance.

Both work as Incoterms 2020 defines them, and that also decides the moment the risk in the goods moves to you. The goods stay ours until both payments have been received in full.

You check the finished order at the workshop, in person or digitally, before the second 50% is paid. Once the second 50% has been paid, the products are accepted and confirmed. After that, returns are no longer possible, because you have accepted the products yourself.

If you pay the full amount upfront, you are still welcome to check your order at the workshop, in person or digitally, before it ships.

One exception, on every order: if pieces arrive damaged, are missing or are not what you ordered, write to hello@allinmaki.com within fourteen days of delivery, with your order reference and photographs. Where we are at fault, we replace the pieces, credit them against your next order or refund them, as we agree with you.

The small differences between pieces of natural fur described above are not a fault.

Until you pay the deposit you can change the order or let the quotation lapse, at no cost. Once the deposit is in, the fur is bought and the work begins, so a change needs our agreement and a cancellation does not return the deposit.

For any order, our liability goes no further than the amount you paid us for it, and we are not liable for lost profit, lost sales or other indirect loss. Nothing in these terms limits a liability that the law does not allow to be limited.

Strikes, road blockades, natural disasters, closed borders or a carrier that cannot move can hold an order up. When that happens we tell you at once and the ready date moves with it. If the delay runs on so long that the order is no use to you, either of us can cancel the part that has not been made, and you get back what you paid for that part.

These terms and every order made on them are governed by the law of Peru. A dispute we cannot settle between us goes to the courts of Lima. Questions about any of this go to hello@allinmaki.com.
